BB Partnership’s scheme for the conversion of an existing Grade II Listed barn along with a new build development to provide three new dwellings along associated gardens and infrastructure has been granted planning and listed building consent from Epping Forest District Council.
Located within the greenbelt the scheme required careful design to ensure that the openness of the green belt was preserved, and the integrity of the Listed structures was maintained.
Having first carried out a pre-application process the scheme was developed to take on board the planners response and then developed through the application process up to the receipt of the positive decision.
As part of the development of the project it was necessary to engage with a number of specialist consultants in order to ensure that the proposals responded to the numerous constraints relating to the site and the listed building on it including – Arboriculturalist, contamination consultant, heritage consultant, planning consultant, landscape designer, visual impact assessor, ecologist and flood risk assessor.
