BB Partnership have obtained planning approval from Epping Forest District Council following a meeting of the planning committee for two new houses, located within a built-up area of Stapleford Abbotts.
The scheme involved the removal of an existing house and close collaboration with Tim Moya Associates with regards to the existing trees and the ecology of the site that contains habitats for both bats and Greater Crested Newts.
Prior to making a full planning application we applied for pre-application advice and then developed the design along with the consultant team in order to make the full application.
“I have worked BB Partnership on a number of developments in Prime Central London. A large lateral flat in a listed building in Knightsbridge, a big basement dig in an artist’s studio house in Kensington and the division of one large double aspect townhouse into two separate dwellings in Chelsea were all projects BB worked on from start to finish for us. BB’s knowledge of the intricacies of London Planning are unsurpassed and they obtained many successful planning consents for us. From a design perspective they are creative, pragmatic and very open minded to incorporating clients and outside professionals ideas. Their project management side is highly organised and communicative and they worked well with all consultants and managed us through many tricky builds. They are used to working with top end artisans and suppliers and know exactly what high end London Residential projects require. I cannot recommend them highly enough”

Phase 1 of the Barker Buildings is now complete providing 36 new 1 and bedroomed apartments in Northampton in this converted factory building.
BB Partnership have secured planning consent for a large, detached replacement dwelling and detached pool building within extensive grounds, located within the green belt.
The site is surrounded by woodland to the north, east and south and spans the boundary between Bromsgrove District Council and Wyre Forest District Council
The proposed house has the same volume as the house that will be demolished, the contemporary design allows for a better distribution of the volume and allows for a larger internal area compared to the existing.
As part of the application process we worked closely with the ecologist, arboriculturalist, landscape designer and energy consultant to ensure that the scheme met the stringent requirements of both local authorities.
The proposed scheme will maintain the existing high ecological value of the site, protect the mature trees and to create a design that by virtue of its energy efficient design and use of renewable technologies will have substantially lower CO2 emissions than the existing house on the site.

BBP have recently completed a new-build, single family one-off house for an end user client. It is located in the Highgate Conservation Area. Planning permission was granted on appeal with the inspector praising the high quality of BBP’s design. The project comprised the demolition of the entire side and rear of the house, including the roof, and retention of the front façade plus key features such as the chimney stack.
The side walls and roof were rebuilt to replicate the original house using hand-made imperial bricks (sourced from a small bespoke brick manufacturer) plus roof tiles to match. The rear and part of the sides of the new house were re-built in a contemporary style using linear bricks and a large glass structure to connect the inside of the house with its mature rear garden
The house comprises 6000sq.ft. of internal space over three floors plus a small basement, seven bedrooms and an open plan living area on the ground floor where the spaces can be subdivided by hidden sliding doors. The entrance hallway has a dramatic triple height space.
BBP worked with interior designers Cave Interiors plus Modular and Philip Skilton who did the hard and soft landscaping respectively. The contractors were Blake Builders.
